Shrinkage of the ground surrounding the hall’s stumps, the result of reactive clay soil.

Except for the perimeter stumps, all the supports under the hall are adjustable in height to maintain a level floor during times of earth movement.

Reactive- the ground expands and contracts in reaction to changes in it’s moisture content

LOOKING FOR THE GIANT BARRED FROG

Eva Ford, catchment officer from the Mary River Catchment Coordinating Committee (MRCCC) has set up a sound recording device at the Obi Obi Creek above number four crossing.

The recorded sounds will be scanned for the calls of rare frogs .

HALL HIRE

This year 2014, one wedding has already been held at the hall and another nine are booked for the rest of the year.

The fire circle is been hired at various times during this year, the Management Committee is looking for a supplier of firewood.

A general meeting will be held next Thursday, the 13th of February at 7.30pm.
